IAHR Online Short Course on Transient Flows: from Theory to Practice
Zoom Webinar, 31/10/2021 - 16/11/2021
The Transient Flows Working Group is pleased to announce the forthcoming IAHR Online Short Course on Transient Flows (October 31st - November 16th 2021). This historical event brings together the most respected experts in transient flows to deliver lectures about the most significant aspects of transient flows: from the theoretical fundamentals of water hammer waves to non-intrusive methods.
This course is intended for a broad audience. In fact, transient flows are a relevant aspect of the engineering design of hydraulic structures, such as water distribution systems, pumping stations, and open channels. Whether you are a young professional or a senior, academic or practitioner, the course will help you enhancing your critical thinking about the consequences but also the great significance of transient flows with the aim of improving water systems performance and management criteria.
The detailed online course program, a brief outline of the lectures, the registration instructions, and additional information may be found at the IAHR Online Short Course on Transient Flows webpage (https://www.iahr.org/index/detail/453).
